NJLGC/PLF is the only state-wide “organization of organizations”. We work to bring groups together to work in coalition on the important issues facing NJ’s LGBTI community.

Your membership dues are needed for NJLGC to have a successful year of fighting the anti-gay industry, improving the lives of NJ’s LGBTI community, and providing services to organizations and people in New Jersey.

Organizations join and get big benefits:

NJLGC/PLF is a “organization of organizations”, a coalition of groups in New Jersey united with a single purpose. Non-profits, not-for-profits, and for-profit organizations may join. NJLGC is a 501c3 organization (non-for-profit) and its companion organization The Personal Liberty Fund is a 401c3 registered with the state of New Jersey. Organizations are members of both unless tax status prohibits them from joining one or the other (this is not a problem for most organizations).
Groups receive benefits including:

  • Prominently listing of your organization on the front page of www.njlgc.org.
  • The ability to list your events on the njlgc.org event listing (an exclusive member perk!)
  • Email notification of all NJLGC board meetings.
  • “Voting” or “Non-voting status”: All groups may attend and participate in meetings (they are open to all).  ”Voting status” counts towards quorum and therefore has the responsibility to send a delegate to board meetings. (Monthly meetings held by phone conference call or in Highland Park, NJ).
