Privacy Policy
Our Commitment To Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.
The Information We Collect:
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the NJLGC.org website. On some pages, you can become a member, make a donation, or register to receive materials.
Membership and donation information collected includes name, address, email address, phone number, plus credit card information when appropriate. We use an external credit card processing company that has a strict privacy and security policy related to handling credit card data.
For web-based services such as email reminders, we collect email address and name as appropriate.
On our “tell a friend” pages, we use a third-party who enforces a strict anti-spam policy. The email addresses of friends are handled by this company securely; we only learn of the email addresses if the person chooses to opt-in. By using a third party we hope to maintain your trust.
The Way We Use Information:
We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to complete that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
You can register with our website if you would like to receive updates via email.
We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website. We do not share personal or identifying information with others, including member organizations and businesses that are part of our coalition. The information that we do pass on is purely statistical such as ‘14 people clicked on the link for organization X this month.’
Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
Spam
We hate spam. Â Some of our volunteers fight spam in their “day job”. We don’t spam. All of our email blasts come from an “opt-in” mailing list. That is, you must sign up for the mailing list, and we confirm with you (by email) that you really want to be on the mailing list.
