WELCOMING CEREMONY: Maplewood Town Hall, 574 Valley Street at 10AM. Come hear from the Mayor of Maplewood and legislators that supported the domestic parner law.

DOMESTIC PARTNER REGISTRATION: The Township of Maplewood will open its doors for couples from anywhere in the state to register as domestic partners on this historic first day registry. Registrars will be available for part of the day. Come early. Registrations are limted. A souvenir first day certificate will be issued to all couples who are partnered at the event. Registration will occur between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

FESTIVAL: Memorial Park (Oakview Ave. and Valley Street) in Maplewood, NJ will be the venue for this historic festival. Exciting vendors, food, exhibits, clowns, rides, and fun!

ENTERTAINMENT STAGE: Local and regional performers, comedians and speakers.

HANDICAP ACCESS: Handicap parking will be available in the lot behind Maplewood Town Hall on Saturday, and handicap access to the inside of Town Hall is available via a ramp leading from the rear parking lot.

Jersey Pride, Inc., Rainbow Families of Maplewood and South Orange, the NJ Lesbian and Gay Coalition, and the Township of Maplewood are proud to announce that a Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered and Intersexed festival in celebration of the first day of domestic partnership registrations to be held on Saturday July 10, 2004 in Maplewood, New Jersey. You are invited to have a free information-only table for your organization at the festival.

The welcoming ceremony is at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 10, 2004 at Maplewood Town Hall, 574 Valley Street. It will be followed by on-site domestic-partner registration and until 5 pm a statewide LGBTI festival in Maplewood Memorial Park. The festival will feature entertainment, businesses, merchants, organizations, food, activities and games for kids of all ages and so much more. The Township of Maplewood will be hosting registration of couples as domestic partners who live ANYWHERE in New Jersey!
