This is a short-term emergency shelter for runaway, homeless and abused youth, eight to seventeen years of age.
This is a transitional living program for homeless youth. It serves young people sixteen to twenty-one years of age who can stay up to eighteen months. In addition, Anchorage has a limited number of supervised apartments for those eighteen and older. Employment, education and life skills training are also available on an out-client basis. The agency is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Covenant House of NJ These are runaway shelters for short-term crisis situations; they do have an independent living program ranging from six to eighteen months. The organization offers a full-range of services, from legal to health. While eighteen to twenty-one is their normal age range, they will help those under eighteen. However, they will contact the family. After speaking with the family, a decision is made on whether to involve the Division of Youth and Family Services, or another agency.
This gay sensitive agency provides counseling and support services for young people, ages twelve through seventeen. In addition, they provide short-term emergency housing for young people. |
