Social Support Helplines

Note: The Personal Liberty Fund is unable to recommend specific therapists who work well with gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender or questioning youth as we have no way of insuring quality. The following organizations have established relationships with therapists and are, therefore, in a better position to make specific recommendations.

We have, however, included in the appendix a guide to selecting a therapist, "Choosing a Therapist: Advice for Seeking a Professional's Help." We encourage you to review this guide with every student who may need this type of support. The guide will also help the family of a student engaged in the process of finding this type of assistance.
