Youth Resource Guide

This guide is designed for guidance counselors and other student personnel staff in schools. It seeks to provide a directory of information, agencies and services sensitive to the specific needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth; and the needs of youth in families with a gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender parent(s), or family member(s). The focus is on New Jersey, but information is provided on places in New York and Pennsylvania, and nationally where appropriate. The Youth Advisory Board of the New Jersey Lesbian and Gay Coalition has compiled the directory.

While the Board has made every effort to provide accurate, up-to-date and appropriate information, we have learned that programs move, phone numbers change and websites are modified. For these reasons, we cannot vouch for the permanency of the information. Further, we could not check all of the links from the Web sites we have included. We remain confident, however, that meeting the need for this information overwhelmingly outweighs the occasional problem.
